(America-80) Tacoma Mooncake Festival – September 15, 2018

SPECIAL NOTE: In mainland China, the Mooncake Festival is known officially as the

Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid-Autumn Festival

“2018 Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 24th (Monday). The holiday in China starts from September 22 to 24, 2018. Due to the pleasant autumn weather this is a peak time for travel.

Falling on the 15th day of the 8th month according to the Chinese lunar calendar, the Mid-Autumn Festival is the second grandest festival in China after the Chinese New Year. It takes its name from the fact that it is always celebrated in the middle of the autumn season. The day is also known as the Moon Festival, as at that time of the year the moon is at its roundest and brightest.

I will be at the annual Puyallup Fair to present or promote my books…from 12:30 PM to 3 PM today…the books are available at Amazon.com and also at Thriftbooks.com…I am not there to “sell” the books, but I will be busy to talk to certain people, not all people, who I suspect might be interested in THIS IS CHINA. Then I will rush over to the Tacoma Mooncake Festival to spend a few minutes on stage to entertain with a few JOKES…After attending the Tacoma Comedy Academy, I have learned it is easier to be a college professor than to do Stand Up Comedy on stage! Anyway, I have 7 years as the host of a Talk Show in China, used to talk and entertain before live audience! But doing comedy is completely different…I took comedy classes to hone my skills as a speaker and entertainer…I will be going out to talk about China with my book THIS IS CHINA, the sole reason I wrote the book, to share with Americans contemporary China…on the rise to be the economic dragon of the world! Within 40 years (My essay on the 40th Anniversary of China’s Reforms and Opening Up has just been published by China Daily recently) China has become #2 right behind USA, making Made-in-China products available all over the world! See you at the Tacoma Mooncake Festival today! Steve USA September 15, 2018      stephenehling@hotmail.com     weChat 1962816801
