SPECIAL NOTICE: Businessman Donald Trump and his thought about Immigration in 2011 in a book he co-wrote with Robert T. Kiyosaki, then a famous author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” (2007). “Personal finance author and lecturer Robert T. Kiyosaki developed his unique economic perspective from two very different influences – his two fathers. One father (Robert’s real father) was a highly educated man but fiscally poor. The other father was the father of Robert’s best friend – that Dad was an eighth-grade drop-out who became a self-made multi-millionaire.” Businessman Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki wrote three books together: Why We Want You to be Rich 2006; Midas Touch 2011; and Time to get Tough 2011. Now I am curious if Mr Kiyosaki is working for President Trump in his palace in Washington, DC?
In the book they wrote together “Midas Touch”, Trump and Kiyosaki conclude “by embracing the phenomenon of entrepreneurs created through immigration to the United States. Trump and Kiyosaki write, that for hundreds of years immigrants came through Ellis Island seeking economic opportunities. The conclusion emphasizes the hardship some immigrants have experienced prior to arrival in the U.S., acknowledging many faced human rights abuses in their prior home countries and sought to maintain a better life for their families as Americans. Trump and Kiyosaki assert immigrants to the U.S. are motivated to find economic success, ‘Many first generation immigrants are willing to pay any price, take any job, shoulder any burden if there is a chance it will give them a foothold, a start. They do what must be done, for they have come for the opportunity to build the life of their dreams, to give their children something that they themselves never had. And for that, there is no price too steep, no challenge too great, no burden too heavy.’” It would seem on the surface businessman Trump is in favor of immigration…his wife is a foreigner, too. But his vehement anti-immigrant rhetoric and animosity did not seem to encourage new immigrants to come to America…! If this happens it would spell tragedy and disaster for America and its economy.
All Americans—other than the Native American Indians and other indigenous groups—are immigrants or descendants of immigrants from the Old World (USA is the New World). As the former Prime Minister of UK, Tony Blair (1997-2007) might put it… we are all guests of the New World…we are NOT the indigenous people of the Old World. As long as we remember this, we will live in peace and harmony. The Native American Indians will tell you…we are all stewards of this land, given to us by the Creator of this earth. We do not own this land…so we should treat it with gentle care and love…and share it charitably and generously with other guests, and leave it the way the Creator has given it to us, for our posterity! Maybe President Trump can learn a thing or two from our friends of the soil, the Native American Indians of America.
